Company Directors:
Chair: Dave Harris, Principal designate of the Nottingham University Samworth Academy (NUSA) opening in September 2009. Dave was the Principal of the flagship all-through school - Serlby Park, a 3-19 Business and Enterprise Learning Community prior to his appointment to NUSA. He is the author of “‘Are Your Dropping the Baton?’ From effective collaboration to all-through schools – your guide to improving transition”. Dave is a founder member of CATS and has a national reputation for his work in this field.

Vice Chair:
Kelvin Peel, Director of Ark Education Limited. Kelvin is an independent education consultant with a wide educational background with experience in schools and at senior levels in Local Authority work. He has been a national consultant for the National College of School Leadership (NCSL) and the Innovation Unit on the exciting ‘Next Practice’ project looking at new ways of organising schools. He is our resident specialist on Trusts and delivers CATS Consultancy with Barry Bainbridge. Kelvin is a founder member of CATS.

Director:
Barry Bainbridge, Director of B. Bainbridge Consulting Limited. Barry is an independent education consultant who comes to this field after retiring from the leadership of the first all-through ‘hard’ federation in the country. He has a very wide experience in models of leadership and is currently a Leader in this field with NCSL. He is recognised as a leading expert in all-through schooling and has advised schools on all-through schooling from Northumberland to Cornwall and Herefordshire to Suffolk. Barry is a founder member of CATS.

Honorary Member:
Deryn Harvey, Director of the Innovation Unit (IU). Deryn was conferred lifetime honorary membership of CATS at the 2008 CATS/SSAT conference in recognition of her continuing support for CATS having been the driving force which brought the first potential all-through groups together.

Administrator:
Judy Bainbridge, Director of B. Bainbridge Consulting Limited. Judy keeps CATS afloat, she deals with all the administration required to run CATS and has in the past organised the conferences. She is the first port of call for many enquiries. Judy has an educational background in Special Needs.

The Members of CATS:
CATS currently represents over 150 schools in 50+ groupings. These members include all-through schools and academies, all-through ‘hard’ governance federations, all-through Trusts, learning communities and other collaborative projects which cross traditional boundaries. Membership is also open to individual educational consultants and Local Authorities, a number of whom have joined the organisation.
